S-1 · Ring Buoy Toss

Crew members practice a water-rescue skill by throwing a ring buoy to a target. Each has up to three attempts, with the first successful throw scoring highest.

Scoring: 1st throw 15, 2nd throw 10, 3rd throw 5, converted to a percentage of the registered crew.

Equipment and safety

Standard ring buoy with 50 ft of 3/8" polypropylene line, target.
